Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification (WARN) Act
Topics

Ohio follows federal requirements under the Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification Act which provides protection to workers, their families, and communities by requiring employers to provide written notice at least 60 calendar days in advance of covered plant closings and mass layoffs to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services' Dislocated Worker Unit (Rapid Response Unit).  For filing requirements, please reference the Employer's Guide. For more information on Ohio's Rapid Response Program, click here.

NOTICE TO EMPLOYERS: Please send all WARNs to Rapid Response Program Administrator Breeyn Handberg at rapdresp@jfs.ohio.gov

Please note, per Ohio's archived data retention requirements, we only retain current year plus five years back of WARN data.
