Who we serve:
The
Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program is a federal
program that provides intensive reemployment assistance to individuals who are
receiving unemployment benefits and are determined likely to exhaust their
benefits before becoming reemployed.
What we do:
The goal of the
RESEA program is to provide claimants with a wide array of resources that
support reemployment as quickly as possible and connects claimants to
reemployment services, including co-enrollment in the Workforce Innovation and
Opportunity Act (WIOA) dislocated worker program or other program services, as
appropriate.
Program
delivery staff within the OHIOMEANSJOBS Center meet one-on-one with the claimant
to assist in the development of an individualized reemployment plan. To
successfully assist the RESEA customer, the following will be provided:
- An
Unemployment Compensation eligibility assessment to identify potential issues
or barriers to reemployment;
Customized
labor market and career information, including information about in-demand
occupations;
- Registration
with the Ohio Workforce Case Management System (OWCMS) and OhioMeansJobs.com;
- Information
and referral to additional reemployment services and other OhioMeansJobs center
services, resources, and training, as appropriate;
- An
orientation to OhioMeansJobs center services;
- An
individualized reemployment plan that includes work search activities,
accessing services provided through an OhioMeansJobs center or using
self-service tools, and/or approved training; and
- A
follow-up to the individualized reemployment plan
