Fraud Control
The Fraud Control Unit is responsible for providing support to
the CDJFS agencies for fraud and overpayment control through
training and technical assistance; administration of the Treasury
Offset Program (TOP) and the State Tax Refund Offset Program
(STOP); Income and Eligibility Verification System (IEVS) reviews,
and Federal Tax Information Safeguarding reviews; and managing the
Public Assistance Reporting Information System
(PARIS).
If you have knowledge that a recipient of Medicaid, Cash
Assistance, Food Assistance, or Child Care has committed fraud in
order to qualify for these benefits and you would like to report
it, please contact the County Department of Job and Family Services
in the county where the recipient is residing. The number can be
found in the telephone book under "County Government." If you are
unable to locate the number, please call the ODJFS General
Information Customer Service number at 1-877-852-0010 and they will
provide you the number of the County Department of Job and Family
Services. The number can also be found on the internet at https://jfs.ohio.gov/. On
