In 2002 the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services implemented the Performance Center, a performance management system that uses data, measures and analysis to improve productivity and service quality while
ensuring organizational and individual accountability.
Over the years, the Performance Center has evolved from reporting individual office measures to reporting and analyzing outcome measures that give us a better understanding of how well we're implementing our agency-wide goals and objectives, meeting our clients' needs and expectations, and providing value to Ohio taxpayers through efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of our services.
Why we measure:
- To provide focus, direction and common understanding
- To communicate information for better decision making
- To ensure feedback on improvement efforts
- To create a common language to discuss problems, progress and results
- To demonstrate results
