About Us

The role of the Office of Workforce Development (OWD) is to work in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, Governor's Office and a variety of stakeholders in order to provide administration and operational management for several federal programs and to offer specific services in support of the programs. OWD is functionally aligned and structured by program and services. OWD's primary responsibility is to promote job creation and to advance Ohio's workforce. This is achieved through teamwork at all levels of the organization.
