LinkedIn: A New Option for Unemployment Claimants in Ohio
Topics

Starting September 3, 2019, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services is partnering with LinkedIn to offer additional resources for unemployment claimants in Ohio. Now, in addition to using OhioMeansJobs.com, you can use LinkedIn to:

  • Apply for jobs
  • Have those jobs count toward your requirement to apply for at least two jobs each week
  • Receive email reminders to make sure you meet that two-job-a-week requirement
  • View and save your LinkedIn application history in one convenient location
  • Access free LinkedIn courses and other resources

Important Note: The LinkedIn tools are optional. You still must meet all your normal work search, reemployment and eligibility requirements to receive benefits, as listed on your New Claim Instruction Sheet. This includes the required reemployment activities on OhioMeansJobs.com
