Compliance Section
The Compliance Section assures employer adherence to unemployment tax provisions. District auditors audit records of employers to determine compliance with the unemployment compensation law. They are also responsible for developing and executing effective audit strategies and techniques and collecting monies and penalties owed by employers.
It is the goal of the Compliance section to ensure employer compliance so that all employers pay their fair share. Concentrated efforts to detect illegal practices are currently in place and a large part of the Compliance section mission.

Benefit Payment Control
The Benefit Payment Control (BPC) Section is responsible for promoting and maintaining the integrity of the Unemployment Compensation program through the prevention, early detection, investigation, enforcement, and recovery of improper unemployment compensation benefit payments.
It is the goal of the BPC section to detect UI benefit fraud and ensure that recipients receive only the amounts they are entitled to under the law. Concentrated efforts to detect fraud methods are in place and a large part of the BPC section mission.
