How to Become Certified to Accept the Ohio Direction Card

Ohio Farmers' Markets interested in obtaining certification to accept the Ohio Direction Card must apply with Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) to become a certified Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) retailer.  To apply:

1. Visit www.fns.usda.gov/snap/ebt/fm.htm, or www.marketlink.org

2. Call (877) 823-823-4369 to request a paper application packet.

Once your market is certified by FNS, your market is eligible to accept the Ohio Direction Card. To learn more about how to get licensed by FNS, how the scrip system works, and what support or grant opportunities may be available, visit www.fns.usda.gov/snap/ebt/fm.htm.   Any questions regarding your application are to be directed to Robin Masters, USDA-FNS at (317) 478-3180 or Robin.Masters@fns.usda.gov.

3. Contact USDA about your SNAP certified farmers' markets incentive program operation. SNAP Certified Farmers' Markets which operate an incentive program should contact Robin Masters at Robin.Masters@fns.usda.gov and provide the following information:
