The Office of Family Stability, created this web site, which contains the County Departments of Job and Family Services (CDJFS) hardship criteria to extend OWF benefits to families who have exhausted 36 months of benefits. The purpose of this web site is to provide information to county and state staff on hardship criteria established by the CDJFS. It represents the Department's best effort to provide useful information in a timely manner.
NOTE: This version of the hardship criteria may not be the most recent version. This web site is updated every two weeks with amended hardship criteria that have been provided by the CDJFS.
Codes from CRIS-E tables TLRI (Benefit Issuance OWF Time Limit County Reason Code Query) and TLRU (Benefit Issuance OWF Time Limit County Reason Code Maintenance) are provided to enable a more comprehensive search. Hardship categories are searchable by state-designated reason codes.
For instance, if a county is interested in identifying the counties that have hardship based upon domestic violence, a search can be performed either using state-designated code 05 in the State Category field or by typing in the words "domestic violence" in the text search field on the "County OWF Hardship Reason Code" page.
