Job & Family Services - Navigation

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services offers a wide range of services to people with disabilities who meet the Equal Employment Opportunity Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other federal hiring requirements.

The scope of accommodations and services includes, but is not limited to, the designation of a representative in each Ohio Job and Family Services One-Stop Office to serve persons whose disabilities affect their employment-related needs. Services also include:

  • Providing a sign language interpreter as needed for persons with hearing impairments;
  • Installation of telecommunication devices for the deaf (TDDs);
  • Providing a reader, when needed, and audio cassettes for persons with visual impairments;
  • An established link with other social service agencies that have resources for assisting personswith disabilities obtain employment, and
  • The use of promotional programs, job fairs, and individual job-development activities with employers to market job-seeking customers.
