July 20, 2010 - Online Application Process for Step Up To Quality 
 
The application process for Step Up To Quality is a Profile that programs complete online and submit.  Programs can complete the profile all at one time or come back to it over time to complete.  Submission of the completed Profile is the inital or renewal application for a Star Rating. 

First Time Users of the Online Application: 
         You must first register and set up a key code to access the system.

It is important that all questions and concerns go to  SUTQonlineapp@jfs.ohio.gov so they can be addressed.  Please be sure to include your six digit license number on all correspondence. 

1. Web Browser Information 
   1. ODJFS currently uses Internet Explorer.  The online profile submission is fully supported by Internet Explorer. 
   2. Our system can support Firefox up to version 3.3.0.  Versions higher than 3.3.0 may not work properly.  If that is the case, please use Internet Explorer to complete and submit your profile.
   3. If still unable to submit, e-mail SUTQonlineapp@jfs.ohio.gov 
   4. Please be sure to include your six digit license number on all correspondence.
      
2. Type A Homes
   1. The online application system is currently set up for centers. 
   2. Please keep in mind that Type A Homes have specific benchmark indicators. 
   3. All Type A Home benchmark indicators will be verified during the verification process. 
   4. As you complete the profile, some questions will require you to make selections from a list of specific responses. Simply select the closest match for your program.
   5. Forward any questions and/or concerns to  SUTQonlineapp@jfs.ohio.gov.
   6. Please be sure to include your six digit license number on all correspondence.
      

Prior to applying for a Rating - initial rating, step change or renewal:

• Have you read the Step Up To Quality Guidance Document?
• Have you prepared an Evidence Portfolio?
• Have you identified lead and assistant teachers?
• Have you completed Specialized Training Pre-requisites? 
• Have you completed Registry Profiles for administrators, lead and assistant teachers on the                      Ohio Professional Development Registry?
