Research confirms that formal education and on-going professional development are linked to positive outcomes for children.

As a result, Ohio has included specialized training as one of the five benchmarks that programs must meet in order to achieve a Star Rating.

Individuals seeking to be approved trainers and training approvals must be recognized as Ohio Approved. All instructors must submit their application through the Training Approval and Scheduling Center.  Information regarding Ohio Approved professional development can be found on the Early Childhood Ohio Website: http://www.earlychildhoodohio.org/ohioapproved.php.

As of June 1, 2016, all requests for Ohio Approved professional development and study groups/community of learners are now being processed through the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR).  To submit a conference or study group/community of learners please create a Registry profile or sign in to your profile at https://www.occrra.org/user/login.
