The Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS) releases this Request for Grant Applications (RFGA) on behalf of the Governor’s Office for Faith Based and Community Initiatives (GOFBCI) for the purpose of selecting up to 40 faith-based and/or community organizations for the 2008 Feed Ohio: Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Support grants.  The selected grantees will serve as USDA SFSP “sponsors” that will establish at least two new SFSP sites with enrichment programs that accompany the SFSP meal during the Summer of 2008.  An authorized Ohio SFSP Site Application (see Appendix A) must be completed and included with the grant proposal to ensure that the sponsor and the new sites are pre-approved to run the SFSP by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).  Awarded Feed Ohio grantees must begin providing services by June 2008 and maintain services for a minimum of eight weeks.
