Medicaid Children's Health and Wellness Initiative

Governor Strickland's TurnAround Ohio vision includes improving children's access to health care. Each year, Ohio Medicaid covers approximately 1.2 million children from birth through age 20. Ohio's Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) program - also known as Healthchek - provides comprehensive health care for Ohio's children.

Ohio Medicaid developed the Children’s Health and Wellness Initiative which focuses on achieving a seamless, coordinated, family centered, and cost effective continuum of quality care to improve health outcomes and life success for all Ohio children.vision includes improving children's access to health care.
