Applying for child support services is intended to be straightforward and simple. It begins with letting us know who you are.

If you are not now receiving any Ohio public assistance, you need to complete and submit a form called "Application for Child Support Services, Non-Public Assistance Applicant." This form is available from your county's Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA).

Click here to locate your county's CSEA.

We may already have you on file, depending upon whether you are already registered for certain services. If you are receiving services or payments through Ohio Works First (OWF), IV-E Foster Care Maintenance, or Medicaid, you are already registered with us. Simply go to your county's CSEA and let them know you wish to begin child support services.

Finally, if you do not wish to formally apply for child support services, there are still many services your CSEA can provide.

Please note that, whether you apply for child support services or not, your county's CSEA is required to process payments for your child and/or spousal support order.

For more information, contact your CSEA, or refer to the Child Support Program Manual , part 1100.
