The purpose of the Office of Child Support's Customer Inquiry Call Center (CICC) is to provide prompt, accurate responses to general and case-specific child support questions and concerns. It is a resource for you when you have exhausted other available options in trying to have your child support questions answered. Inquiries come in the form of telephone calls, e-mails and letters. The CICC conducts necessary research on the question or issue raised in order to provide a meaningful, helpful response to the inquiry.
To ensure that current, consistent information is available for use by both the CICC and the county Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA), the CICC has the ability to enter comments into child support case records. The CICC enters specific information about inquiries received, actions taken and responses provided. This allows the CSEA to be informed about activities related to its customers that occur as a result of an inquiry to the CICC.
The CICC has no jurisdiction over individual cases, cannot make changes in the Support Enforcement Tracking System (SETS) and can only view the information that has been entered into SETS, so it is limited in the assistance it can provide. Remember, your first source of information is always the county of jurisdiction over your case. Due to confidentiality concerns, the county and the CICC can only release information to individuals who are a party to the case.
