Using NPI correctly
Ohio Medicaid is denying electronic claims when:
- The pay-to NPI and the pay-to legacy numbers on the claim do not match the numbers we have in our file.
- The pay-to NPI does not appear on the electronic claim.
- The rendering NPI, if required, does not appear on the electronic claim.
- The rendering NPI and the rendering legacy numbers on the claim do not match the numbers we have in our file.
Providers can call the IVR, 1-800-686-1516, to verify the correct NPI to legacy match. |
