Medicaid Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System Providers may contact the IVR system for billing concerns. This system is available to our provider membership. It provides 24-hour, 7-day a week access to information regarding client eligibility, claim status, payment status, prior authorization, drug and procedure code, and provider information. To comply with HIPAA privacy requirements (effective October 16, 2003), all providers and billing entities will be required to access the IVR for protected information by use of a Personal Identification Number, commonly known as a PIN. A helpful user guide for the IVR system is available on our Web site. The guide was also made available to the provider community in a recent mailing.
