State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2017 Application for Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) Start-up Funding

The purpose of the start-up funding is to assist CACs in their initial development in order that they may establish a common and child-friendly area for professionals from multiple systems to interview children in lieu of sending a traumatized child to multiple sites.

A Child Abuse and Child Neglect Regional Prevention Council may apply for one-time funding from the OCTF to be used toward start-up costs for the establishment and operation of a CAC provided that the requirements within the application instructions are met.

Below you will find the CAC Application for Start-up funding as well as the SFY 2017 Application Instructions for CAC Start-up funding. The instructions detail the application completion process including the eligibility guidelines and the required attachments (including program narrative and budget narrative) that are to be submitted with the SFY 2017 application.

A CAC that has previously received funding from the OCTF for any purpose is not eligible for start-up funding.

The SFY 2017 application, along with the required attachments (including program narrative and budget narrative), must be received by the Ohio Children's Trust Fund by the close of business on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. If your application for start-up funds is approved by the OCTF Board, the anticipated contracting period will begin during SFY 2017.
