SFY 2012 ongoing primary prevention funding for Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) - SUSPENDED
The Ohio Children's Trust Fund (OCTF) Board met on February 24, 2011 and decided to suspend CAC ongoing primary prevention funding from the Trust Fund for SFY 2012. This decision was due to current financial issues facing the Trust Fund.
Since SFY 2006, we have witnessed a 21.70% decrease in revenues for our State Special Revenue Fund including a 10.37% decrease in SFY 2010. Although the OCTF has taken steps to keep its expenditures as low as possible, our board concluded that our declining revenues make it fiscally inadvisable to continue to fund CACs ongoing primary prevention funding in SFY 2012.
While the Trust Fund's SFY 2011 ongoing primary prevention funding grant agreements will not be affected by this decision, we wanted to inform everyone (pursuant to Ohio Revised Code section 3109.172) of our board’s decision to suspend CAC ongoing primary prevention funding in SFY 2012 and their reason for making the decision.
