| The Office of Family Stability, created this web site, which contains the County Departments of Job and Family Services (CDJFS) Good Cause criteria to extend OWF benefits to families who have ceased to participate in OWF due to the 36-month state time limit for at least a 24-month waiting period. After the 24-month waiting period, an assistance group may qualify for additional OWF months if 'good cause' is determined to exist. |
| The purpose of this web site is to provide information to county and state staff on OWF Good Cause criteria established by the CDJFS. It represents the Department's best effort to provide useful information in a timely manner. NOTE: This version of the OWF Good Cause criteria may not be the most recent version. This web site is updated every two weeks with amended OWF Good Cause criteria that have been provided by the CDJFS. |
| Codes from CRIS-E tables TLGI ( OWF County Reason Codes- Good Cause Inquiry) and TLGR (OWF Time Limit County Reason Codes - Maintenance) are provided to enable a more comprehensive search. OWF Good Cause categories are searchable by state-designated reason codes. |
| For instance, if a county is interested in identifying the counties that have OWF Good Cause based upon domestic violence, a search can be performed either using state-designated code 04 in the State Category field or by typing in the words "domestic violence" in the text search field on the "County OWF Good Cause Reason Code" page. |
| When submitting your County OWF Good Cause document or amendment, remember to include your County name and date. Please make sure to submit the entire document. A GroupWise mailbox has been set up so that each county may electronically submit its good cause critieria to ODJFS. This mailbox is also utilized to forward subsequent modifications to the county good cause criteria. Please send the document to the GroupWise mailbox "Program-Policy". For those counties without GroupWise access, the full name for the mailbox is Program-Policy@odjfs.state.oh.us. |
