Administrator Rules Training 

Rule 5101:2-12-24 (D) states that the administrator shall complete a rules review course provided by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

• This training has been revised and updated to include information on rule changes and serious risk non-compliances.
• Within six months of being named administrator of an ODJFS licensed child care center, new administrators are required to complete this training.
• In order to participate in Step Up To Quality all administrators on the center's license are required to take this new training, even if the administrator has previously attended an administrator rules training. This training counts towards the administrator specialized training hours. Administrators of currently rated programs will be required to take this training prior to renewal of center's rating under statewide criteria.
• Each training session is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Administrators must attend the entire session to successfully fulfill the rule requirement and to obtain the completion certificate and JFS 01307 Inservice Training form.
• Trainings are held throughout the state in the licensing field office regions. Specific locations and details are outlined below.
